1. Joshua¹ STAMPER, son of Jonathon STAMPER Jr and Mary Ann "Polly" DAVIS, (#562) was born in Amherst Co., VA 1785. Joshua died after 1850 in Ashe Co., North Carolina.

He married Mary "Polly" BLEVINS in NC, about 1805. (Mary "Polly" BLEVINS is #563.) Mary was born in VA 1786. Mary was the daughter of John BLEVINS and Catherine COX. Mary died about 1896 in Ashe Co., NC.

Joshua STAMPER and Mary "Polly" BLEVINS had the following children:

2 i. Susan² STAMPER (#699) was born in Ashe Co., NC about 1806.

3 ii. Abbey STAMPER (#700) was born in Ashe Co., NC 1808. Abbey died about 1808 in Ashe Co., NC.

4 iii. Mahala STAMPER (#703) was born in Ashe Co., NC 1810. Mahala died 1810 in Ashe Co., NC, at less than one year of age.

+ 5 iv. John STAMPER was born 1810.

+ 6 v. Richard STAMPER was born 1813.

+ 7 vi. Jean "Jennie" STAMPER was born 1818.

8 vii. Margeret Adeline STAMPER (#710) was born in Ashe Co., NC 03 AUG 1820. Margeret died 04 FEB 1869 in Ashe Co.?, NC, at 48 years of age. She married James Phipps HASH in Ashe Co., NC, 1838. (James Phipps HASH is #653.) James was born MAR 1816. James was the son of William HASH Jr and Nancy ANDERSON. James died 06 MAY 1877 at 61 years of age.

+ 10 ix. Catherine STAMPER was born 1824.

+ 11 x. Tobias STAMPER was born about 1825.

12 xi. Joseph STAMPER (#714) was born in Ashe Co., NC about 1828. Joseph died 1869 in Knott Co., KY, at 41 years of age.

13 xii. Rosa STAMPER (#713) was born in Ashe Co., NC 1833.
