He married Marie Hester "Mary" GAULTNEY in Ashe Co., North Carolina, after 1897.⁽³¹⁵⁾ (Marie Hester "Mary" GAULTNEY is #1687.) Marie was born in Crumpler, Ashe Co., North Carolina 23 APR 1881.⁽³¹⁶⁾ Marie⁽³¹⁷⁾ was the daughter of William GAULTNEY and Evaline JONES. Marie died 25 MAR 1961 in Coffeyville, Montgomery, Kansas, at 79 years of age.⁽³¹⁸⁾
