M. Margaret Vaught

Mary Margaret Vaught, 78, of Fallston, died at Fallston General Hospital on Monday, Jan. 15. She was born in Harford County, daughter of the late Harry W. and Mary Margaret (Will) Creswell. Her husband was the late Joseph Fields Vaught.

She had worked as a practical nurse for Mrs. Herbert Hanna for more than 11 years and was a member of St. Mark’s Church in Fallston.

Mrs. Vaught is survived by four children, Mary Ellen Leach of Poquoson, Va., Barbara Lee Johnson of Mesa, Ariz., E. Ann Bearsch of Abingdon and Christopher J. Vaught of Fallston; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Dorothy Illian of Ft. Washington, and Grace Clarke of Kissimmee, Fla.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church, Abingdon, today (Wednesday), 9am, with Rev. Thomas L. Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

David Leach, John Leach, Kenneth Bearsch, Kevin Bearsch, Kenneth Dunaway and John Hubble will be the pallbearers.

Contributions may be made to St. Francis de Sales church, 1450 Abingdon Road, Abingdon, Md. 21009, in the memory of Margaret C. Vaught.

Arrangements were under the direction of Howard K. McComas III Funeral Home, P.A., Abingdon.
