 Fred Thomas Vaught

 Fred Thomas Vaught, 80, husband of the late Ida Rutherford Vaught, of 229 Baltimore St., Aberdeen, died on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Citizens Nursing Home in Havre de Grace. He was the son of the late Chris Vaught and Annie Williams Vaught. Mr. Vaught was a retired farmer.

He is survived by four sons, Robert Blaine Vaught of Mouth of Wilson, Va., Joseph Ralph Vaught of Aberdeen, Charles Thomas Vaught of Bel Air, and William C. Vaught of Gettysburg; two daughters, Anna Mae Roebuck of Aberdeen and Myrtle R. Fritch of Aberdeen; one brother, Earl Vaught of Clinchburg, Va., two sisters, Ethel Smith of Tazewell, Va. and Verles Jones of Aberdeen; seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2pm from the Tarring Funeral Home in Aberdeen, with Rev. W. Edward Austin, D. D., pastor emeritus of Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa, officiating. The interment was in Baker’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were Robert Vaught, Edward Vaught, Harry Bauer, Jr., Joseph Papalia, Harold Jones, Jr. and Jack Miller.
